Explore Wiltshire

Make the most of your visit by exploring this beautiful part of Wiltshire. As well as the following attractions there are several tea rooms, pubs and independent shops to enjoy in the village of Lacock

The historic town of Bradford on Avon

Bradford on Avon is sometimes described in guidebooks as the last outpost of the Cotswolds, or a kind of 'mini-Bath' - but such shorthand descriptions capture only a fraction of the charm and variety of this unique town

Devizes

With its canals and magnificent flight of 29 locks

The charming historic market town of Devizes lies at the very heart of Wiltshire. Founded in Norman times at the boundaries (the Latin 'ad Divisas') of surrounding villages, the town grew up around the castle. The outline of the town walls shows in the 'D' shape of the centre which retains its mediaeval street plan. The town is compact and, being on the level, easy to walk round.

Bowood

Bowood House, Gardens, Adventure Playground & Golf Course

Bowood offers a fantastic day out for all the family. Famous for one of the UK’s most extensive Adventure Playgrounds, children are guaranteed the time of their lives. Younger children will enjoy meeting friendly farm animals at Tractor Ted’s Little Farm and undercover fun in the Soft Play Area.

Castle Combe Village

Castle Combe has been called 'The Prettiest Village in England' and with good reason; visitors have been coming to enjoy its charms for at least a century and the small street leading from the Market Cross down to the By Brook is as picturesque today as it ever was.

Spent 2 nights here (in very wet June!) en route from North Devon and home, in order to visit Lacock and Abbey. Easy walk to National Trust village, well worth a visit. Very interesting place. Plenty places to eat.
Site was immaculate, very helpful owner met us at reception and directed us to hardstanding pitch with hook up, we thought site was well drained considering how much rain had fallen.
Two toilet blocks - one looks brand new. Quiet site, would return.
